These robust, universal microscopes are designed for general use in laboratories, schools and universities. Their interchangeable heads and numerous accessories allow them to be used in many applications. The MBL series can be extended with phase-contrast equipment, dark-field condenser, micrometer equipment and planachromatic objectives.

• Inclined binocular optical head with symmetrical interpupillary distance adjustment (55 - 75 mm)
• Diopter compensation with compensation scale
• Stable metal stand, fitted on both sides with coaxial adjustment
• Coarse and fine adjustment knobs (0-200 µm, with subdivisions of 2 µm)
• Coarse adjustment range: 30 mm; fine adjustment range: 30 mm
• Coarse adjustment knob on the right with friction control ring, and on the left with a quick-focussing device
• Graduated mechanical XY stage with coaxial adjustment:
• Built-in low voltage illuminator with illumination control, removable condensor
• Brightfield ABBE condensor, double lensed: mounted-in centering device (N.A. 1.25), iris diaphragm, flip-out filter holder, vertical adjustment
• Glass filters: blue and green
